CSS’s “hasLayout” issue for IE solved in Lorem Ipsum

There was an impending bug of ordered list not being ordered in Internet Explorer for the Lorem Ipsum Theme. The issue is resolved and Lorem Ipsum has been updated to v1.2.5. More details about hasLayout is detailed on my site.

Random Articles Wordpress Plugin

Random Redirect Worpress plugin is one missing plugin for quite sometime. We finally got this awesome pluging from the Wordpress creater himself - Matt Mullenweg. Random Redirect allows you to create a link to yourblog.com/?random which will redirect someone to a random post on your blog, in a StumbleUpon-like fashion.

USAGE

1. Download the plugin - Random Redirect.
2. Create a Hyperlink - Random Article.

If you are using the plugin tag inside your template, then it would be best to replace with bloginfo(’url’); /?random.

Internet Explorer testers

That was freaking fast and awesome. The Wordpress InstantUpgrade plugin allows you to have a Fully automatic upgrades of your WordPress installation. I tested that over my test install and it works great; just follow the installation direction properly and things should be cool for you.

Should I add some color to Lorem Ipsum?

Some people have asked me if I should be adding some color to Lorem Ipsum theme. Currently, it is a plain white and some gray. I’m not sure yet at this moment as my plan was to use Lorem Ipsum like a base framework from which I can spawn different Wordpress themes.

Btw, I would like to say that the header of Lorem Ipsum is inspired by Blue Zinfandel. I liked the simple and bold titles.

The release version of Lorem Ipsum Theme is ready at v1.2.0 and is available for downloads. In this release, the sidebars are further enhanced fixing few style bugs and an ordered list style have also been added.

I’ve also commented the yearly archives listing and is left for those who want to activate them thus making it optional by default. Latest articles listings have also been added to the sidebar.

UPDATE: Sorry for the wrong version. It should be v1.2.0 and not v1.0.0! Everything else remains the same.

Wordpress 2.1.3 and 2.0.10

Yet another security update release from Wordpress v2.1.3 and v.2.0.10. These releases include fixes for several publicly known minor XSS issues, one major XML-RPC issue, and a proactive full sweep of the WordPress codebase to protect against future problems.

Lorem Ipsum Wordpress Theme

I had been feeling tired of seeing the Wordpress Default Theme and was wishing that I can find another that can replace the default theme of a new Wordpress Installation. Despite a serious hunt, I was unable to find one that caters to my likings; so, I decided to do one myself.

Lorem Ipsum is a rather plain, simple, clean, clear, white and no image Wordpress Theme which I will be using it as a default Wordpress Theme for all new installation that I do. It is widget ready, 3 column and no image at all (save for the ones inside the articles).

The theme is available for preview and download at Theme Viewer too.

Try it out and let me know if you find any bugs or issues.
