Lorem Ipsum Wordpress Theme
I had been feeling tired of seeing the Wordpress Default Theme and was wishing that I can find another that can replace the default theme of a new Wordpress Installation. Despite a serious hunt, I was unable to find one that caters to my likings; so, I decided to do one myself.
Lorem Ipsum is a rather plain, simple, clean, clear, white and no image Wordpress Theme which I will be using it as a default Wordpress Theme for all new installation that I do. It is widget ready, 3 column and no image at all (save for the ones inside the articles).
The theme is available for preview and download at Theme Viewer too.
Try it out and let me know if you find any bugs or issues.
You can always download the latest release or pick a version from the Lorem Ipsum Google CodeBase. You can also be on the bleeding edge by checking out the SVN Source anonymously from

Looks good! Were you able to figure out a fix for the QuickMint 3 column and can this one (lorem Ipsum) be modified to make the columns appear on either side? Thanks!

@Gideon - The dev that did Quickmint is busy with something else so, unable to update the same but we’ll do it. Yes, Lorem Ipsum can be modified to suit what you need. I’ll be a matter of changing some floats. I’ll look into this and make it customizable through the Theme Control Panel. If you need it urgently, mail me separately so I can have a custom code for you.

Brajesh, no need for urgency. I really like the plain and simple look and I’ve wanted to use Quickmint, but this comes a close second. As and when you get it done, I’ll d/l it. Thanks for the response!

@Gideon - Thanks. You’ve got me thinking. Let me study Wordpress a bit and I think we should have an Admin customizable theme for the layout of the the three columns. I did this in a fit of frustration over a Sunday afternoon, so not so thorough, I guess. (I did this as I got so bored of the Wordpress Default Theme).

That would be great - also the ability to get rid of that annoying automatic link in the header to the site. The navbar with the “home” link takes care of that. No need for a big huge text link to my site. I’d rather have my own banner there with no link.
Good luck, I’ll wait for updates!

Alright, I always felt that people like the title of the site to be clickable to go to the home page! Anyway, I will keep that in mind too.

I guess what I was saying was that versatility in that area would be great - like Multiflex3 allows you to remove that header link in sidebar widgets and make it just header image and header nav.

I’ve been using this theme for awhile now and I love it very much. I’m wondering, though, is there an easy (and proper) way to edit the theme files to completely hide ’sidebar-alt’ and have the post content area flood over to the right to occupy the space that is typically held by ’sidebar-alt’?

your theme has so many adsense codes on many pages. i think you should release the theme without any of your adsense code.
